Tourism Council Western Australia is responsible for the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program in WA. This program is designed to establish and continually improve industry standards for conducting a tourism business.
Accreditation provides consumers, and the industry, with an assurance that businesses are committed to professionalism both in operations and delivery of service.
Tourism businesses undertaking the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program (WA) complete a desktop audit which covers business practises, procedures, insurances and other documentation required for the successful operation of a safe, reliable and progressive tourism business.
Those successfully completing the program are awarded the coveted “tick” of approval recognised both nationally and internationally as a quality seal of approval.
Tourism Council WA is an independent organisation governed by members from within Western Australia. As a result, Tourism Council truly reflects the views of the industry and the consumer at all levels across the state.
