The Great Escape Charter Company

Tourism Accredited

Celebrating 10 years of Kimberley cruising, there are few people who know the region’s seductive secrets like The Great Escape Charter Company. As one of the original charter boat operators with experience spanning almost three decades, Captain Chris Tucker and his crew explore two of the most remote yet truly awesome destinations in Australia; the Kimberley Coast and Rowley Shoals.

Referred to as a ‘once in a lifetime’ escape, Great Escape cruises offer a myriad of experiences; fishing, viewing rock art galleries, bush walking and breath taking waterfalls.

Cruising exclusively for 14 passengers in air-conditioned comfort, served five-star cuisine, you can understand why so few travellers get to discover the regions secrets. All Queen Staterooms are well appointed featuring spacious en suites. The vessel boasts satellite communications, an on-board chopper for optional scenic heli-flights, a sprawling back deck offers alfresco dining, and the foredeck spa takes the heat out of the day as you cruise this wondrous land.

The underwater jewel of the Kimberley is the Rowley Shoals. The Rowley Shoals never ceases to amaze even the most experienced divers. Visitors are delighted by the pristine waters, abundance of fish and coral gardens, Rays, Sharks and the giant Potato Cod.

12 Night Northern Atoll Scuba Diving AdventureJoin us for a real exploration - every dive will be an adventure! The Northern Atolls have one of the largest tidal ranges in the world. This means exhilarating drift dives but it will also govern how we plan our days. Our itinerary will change according to tides and weather conditions.

This itinerary starts at Scott and Seringapatam Reefs where the diving here is truly frontier stuff where in the past there have been an amazing number of manta rays which can entertain for days!! There are quite different species of schooling fish and a great array of shells including many Latissimus shells.

At Hibernia Reef, being only 40 miles from the island of Roti, Indonesia, you notice all the different species of tropical fish that we don’t get further south at the Rowley Shoals. We will head to Ashmore Reef to explore for another two days before heading to Cartier Reef which will be the last diving in pristine clear waters filled with colourful corals and beautiful fish before we make the enormous steam back to Broome.
